About Abundant Birth
Hi friends!
My name is Emma—also known as a wife, mama, and birth doula. My journey into birth work began when I was just eight years old, delivering puppies in a friend's laundry room. From that moment, my passion for supporting mamas in their most beautiful and vulnerable state took root. Throughout high school, I developed a deep love for women's health, setting my sights on becoming a labor and delivery nurse. However, once I entered the healthcare field, I realized that everything I was looking for in my work was actually the role of a birth doula.
When I discovered the role of a doula, I knew I had found my true calling. As a birth doula, I have the privilege of building meaningful relationships with my clients, working alongside them to achieve their vision for their dream birth experience.
During my own pregnancy and birth journey, I experienced firsthand the power of knowledge combined with compassionate, hands-on support. While my childbirth education was invaluable, it was my doula who truly made the difference—reminding me how to implement my knowledge, offering unwavering encouragement, and providing physical comfort measures that helped me achieve my dream of a natural water birth. This transformative experience deepened my passion for supporting expectant mothers, and I am committed to equipping them with the education, preparation, and hands-on support they need to feel empowered in their birth choices.
I support mothers in all birth settings—whether medicated or unmedicated hospital births, or natural birth center and home births. I firmly believe there is no "right" place or method to bring your baby into this world. My doula approach is client-centered, ensuring that your unique needs and desires take precedence. I leave my personal agenda at the door, focusing entirely on guiding and supporting you with unconditional care and advocacy.
When I’m not supporting my clients, I love spending quality time with family and friends. My husband and son are the greatest joys of my life. Whether hiking, working out, or enjoying a simple stroll with a cup of coffee in hand, I find joy in the sunshine and the little moments.
My faith is the foundation of my life, and my family is actively involved in our church community. I am happy to incorporate faith into my doula practice for clients who desire spiritual support throughout their journey.
I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you and walk alongside you during this incredible season of life!
About Emma Sanchez
My Doula Partner!
Hi there! I’m Emma Sanchez- birth doula, wife, and mama to two girls both born at Beginnings Birth Center. With my first baby, I was lovingly doula’d for a long, three day labor, and afterwards, I knew that birth work was 100% what I was called to do. Supporting families through the intense and beautiful work of birth quite literally gives me goosebumps of awe. My college degree was in statistics, so I love researching and sharing about evidence based birth, but at the end of the day, I know that mama’s intuition can’t be beat!! I am a Christian and love getting to bring worship, prayer, and faith into the birth room if that’s desired by my clients. My aim is to always bring a presence of warmth, reverence, and peace to my clients’ births. I would love to support you in the birth you’ve dreamed of.
